According to Edmiston's book, p. 324 - Henry Birge was a banjoist for the Nighthawks, leaving for family concerns in 1925 and being replaced by Bill Haid. He died in October 1958 after being struck by a bus. His wife Sara lived to the age of 101, dying in October 1999. |
