| Title | Bea Johnson and Others |
| Description | Interior view of three women seated identified in the scrapbook as left to right: Mrs. R. G. Richner, Bea Johnson, and Mrs. W. O'Keefe. Photograph was taken at the Radio and Television Council of Greater Kansas City dinner meeting held November 29, 1955 at the Wishbone Restaurant located at 4455 Main Street. The speaker for the evening was Bea Johnson, Director of Women's Activities for KMBC-KFRM and KMBC-TV.
Remarks from the dinner announcement: Bea Johnson was one of the two K.C. women who were permitted to attend the Big Four Conference held in Geneva, Switzerland. The chosen topic should be of equal interest to both men and women members of the Radio and Television Council.
In July 1955 Bea took seventeen American broadcasters, writers, and telecasters from coast to coast to seven countries in Europoe on the 'Bea Johnson Radio and Television Tour.' Her lecture tours have taken her to almost every state of the United States from Washington State to Florida; from New York to California." |
