AbstractChapter of biography discussing the aftermath of Charlie Parker's death, as well as the growth of his posthumous fame. The author describes numerous published interpretations of Parker's life and music, as well as a description of his grave at Lincoln Cemetery.
NotesChapter also details the unsuccessful 1999 attempt by Parker supporters to have his remains moved from Lincoln Cemetery to the historic 18th and Vine District, to coincide with the unveiling of Robert Graham's "Bird Lives" memorial there.
