AbstractCopies of letters written by Luke Lea (an Indian agent) and others about the character and activities of W. W. Cleghorn, another Indian agent at Fort Leavenworth around 1850. Complimentary descriptions of Cleghorn and uncomplimentary ones about Dr. Johnston Lykins, regarding the latter's "misconduct" by leaving Indians in his charge dying from the cholera epidemic in 1849.
