AbstractPhotos and biographical article about A. Wallace Love (1859-1912), an architect and building contractor native to Michigan and coming to Kansas City in 1878. City official as City Councilman, superintendent of buildings, and Board of Public Works member, "[u]ndoubtedly the designer of many of his projects" including the City Workhouse at 2001 Vine Street (a castle-like structure co-designed by James Hogg in 1896), his own residence at 3801 Genesee Street in 1904 and adjacent apartments in 1908, etc.
