AbstractPhoto and description of Sarah Snow, "the first woman" to run for mayor of Kansas City in 1975 against Charles Wheeler (unsuccessfully). City Council member from 1967 to 1975 "represent[ing] the growing suburbs north of the river" and later becoming "legislative chairman of the Clay County Economic Development Council" and activist for the United Way, Park College and the Girl Scouts.
