| Title | Bashi-Bazouks and Rebels Too: Action at Camden Point, July 13, 1865 |
| Abstract | Article tells the story of skirmish at Camden Point, Platte County, and its background. Conflict between the occupying Union forces and Missouri State Militia and southern sympathizers in northwest Missouri led to attrocities on both sides. The Enrolled Missouri Militia from the area, referred to as the 'Paw Paw Militia', often contained conscripted men who sheltered guerrillas and defected to the confederate side at the first opportunity. |
