AbstractArticle about the McCune Home School located in conjunction with the McCune Home for Boys. School is listed with article as located seven miles northeast of Independence on Highway 24. The county court of Jackson County bought a farm in 1907 and named it the McCune Home after Judge H. L. McCune. In 1908 a school was provided and the Kansas City School District sent out teachers and school supplies. Article includes photographs.
