AbstractMaterial pertaining to the Zebulon Pike Southwestern Expedition. The items include a brief author's note describing the temperature scale used by the Pike party (Reaumur), a review of a 2005 Pike-related book (Zebulon Pike: Lost in the Rockies, by Patricia Calvert), and an installment of Pike's journal (February 2-February 18, 1807, when the expedition built a stockade for the winter on Rio Conejos, a tributary of the Rio Grande).
