AbstractPhotographs and article of artist Sydney Larson, former professor of art at Columbia College where he taught for five decades. He was an apprentice with Thomas Hart Benton, sketching Benton's mural ''Independence and the Opening of the West'' on the walls of the Truman presidential library in Independence. Larson's Missouri murals include works ''in the municipal building at Jefferson City and the Boone County Courthouse at Columbia.''
