AbstractExcerpts from Zebulon Montgomery Pike's journal of his Southwestern Expedition of 1806-1807. This material dates from March 2, 1807 through March 4, 1807, and recounts a portion of Pike's travel toward Santa Fe as a guest of the Spanish. During the period described in this journal excerpt, the expedition passes through the town of St. John and Pike meets with Governor Joaquin del Real Alencaster.
