AbstractBrief vignette describing the discovery of a spring near Council Grove, Kansas, by Ben Jones, a member of George Sibley's 1825 expedition to survey the Santa Fe Trail. The spring became known as "Diamond Spring," and was one of the most well-known on the trail.
