AbstractArticle describes the return journey of the Lewis and Clark Expedition during the summer of 1806, when the Corps of Discovery split up and was later reunited where the Yellowstone River meets the Missouri. Includes information about contemporary traveling in the areas of Montana where these events occurred, from Lolo in the west to Pompey's Tower, about 25 miles east of Billings.
