| Notes | The Inter-City Viaduct was located at 4th and Minnesota Avenues in Kansas City, Kansas, to Bluff Street in Kansas City, Missouri. Construction began in 1905, opened January, 1907. Built by private company as toll bridge at 25 cent rate but failed financially. It was bought in 1913 by the two Kansas Citys for an unknown amount. On October 30, 1918, it opened as a free bridge with a 1.5 mile long span. Closed in November, 1962, when new $8 million span built 90 feet to the north opened and rebuilding was begun on the old span. More information also from the Kansas City Star, August 5, 1960. |
