AbstractPhoto and obituary for Arthur Taunton Brainerd, or Arthur Brainerd, a show business man in Kansas City for 64 years, dying at the age of 81. Description of his career, moving from Illinois to Kansas City at the age of 16 in a traveling magic show around 1900 and co-founding the Patterson & Brainerd Carnival Company, meeting his wife at the Heim amusement park, inventing a ride at Fairland amusement park in the 1930s, and in the same decade retiring into theater electrician work at the Tower Theater.
