AbstractArticle about Howard Bartlow and his flower shop, closed after being in business since 1923, first at 3111 Troost Avenue in "the first 'suburban' shopping area in Kansas City," moved in the late 1920s to the same block as "the haberdashery owned by Harry Truman" with many of the same customers, and finally moved in 1970 to 6226 Troost Avenue.
