TitleHenry Claude Hays
AbstractObituary for Henry Claude Hays, or Henry Hays, a former tailor for 50 years in Downtown hotels, dying at the age of 84, with a description of his grandfather, Amazon Hays, a rider of mule-drawn streetcars in Kansas City.
NotesAmazon Hays was remembered, among other things, for a routine he followed when boarding the street railway cars here. He had a pass, with his thumb print in the corner, and it was his custom when riding upon the trams of the mule railway of that day to make a thumb print on the window, thereby proving that he was the only and original owner of the pass.
