AbstractMicrofilmed scrapbook contains an article about reminiscences of Nellie McCoy Harris, regarding early singers and musicians in the Kansas City area, especially in the 1850s. Description of many specific men and women singers, music teachers, and instrumentalists, including the "Old Westport Quartet" and the first piano in Westport, belonging to Mary Donohoe but kept in the home of Nellie's father, John McCoy.
