AbstractPhoto and biographical article about James Hardacre, and his son James E. Hardacre, druggists closing up shop at the "Hardacre pharmacy on the northeast corner" of 43rd and Troost Avenues. Includes description of James Sr.'s life and career. He was born in Massachusetts and came to Kansas City in 1888 and started a drugstore in the 1890s "near Pennsylvania avenue and Southwest Boulevard," later moving it to 33rd and Troost Avenues.
