AbstractObituary for Arthur James, an architect instrumental in designing the Kansas City Power & Light Building, the Telephone Building, and several federal office buildings, hospitals, and schools. He was born in Omaha and came to Kansas City in 1886, studying under Walter Root and working with Hoit, Price & Barnes until retiring in 1941 and dying in 1956, with residence at 1215 West 68th Street Terrace.
