AbstractDescription of John Parks, "art instructor at the University of Kansas, who recently completed an elaborate decoration at Sidney's restaurant on Linwood boulevard." Description of his "mural depict[ing] an integrated design of ten Kansas City landmarks--the Liberty Memorial, the Scout [statue], the Pioneer Mother [statue], the Starlight theater, the American Royal, the Municipal Auditorium, the Union Station, the Blues stadium, the Nelson gallery and the Kansas City skyline."
NotesAccording to the 1953 Kansas City, Missouri city directory (page 781) the three Sidney's restaurants were located (and owned by Sydney Ginsberg and Bernard Ginsberg) at (1) 3621 Broadway, (2) 609 West 48th Street, and (3) 1111 East Linwood Boulevard.
