AbstractFile containing an obituary for architect Albert Wiser, "designer of the Sophian Plaza, the Waltower building, the Georgian Court apartments and many other buildings in Kansas City and the Southwest" before dying at the age of 55 in 1937. Native of New York raised in Kansas City (with residence at 3612 Walnut Street) and designing (with the firm of Shepard, Farrar & Wiser) the President Hotel, the Mission Hills Country Club, and residences in the Mission Hills residential district including the J. C. Nichols residence at 1214 West Santa Fe Road (originally for Charles Keith) and the Ben C. Hyde residence at 1060 West 55th Street.
