| Abstract | Northeast News Community Betterment Awards recognize individuals who help to make the northeast area a better place to live. This is the 3rd year these awards have been given out. Charlie Passantino received the Lifetime Achievement Award. Others who received awards and the place of their neightborhood involvement include: Joe Coronia-Columbus Park; Nancy Avery-Lykins; Forestine Beasley-Independence Plaza; Tom Turner-Truman Road Corridor; Mark Morales-Sheffield; Rik VanDyke/Jeffrey Carr-Pendleton Heights; Patricia Kurtz-Scarritt Renaissance; and Bruce Taylor-Indian Mound. |
