AbstractJames D. Freeman wrote the poem "I Am There" which Lt. Col. James B. Irwin carried with him when he walked on the moon, July 31 through Aug.2, 1971. At the time of the newspaper article, Freeman was the author of three books and director of ministerial training and religious research at the Unity School of Christianity located in this area.
