AbstractDiscussion of the history and development of Winnwood Beach by Frank Winn approximately in 1912. The resort included three lakes, a water slide, picnic area, children's beach, roller coasters, and 300 building lots near the lakes. A boardwalk came later. The cover of this issue of the Sun Chronicle is a photo of Barbara Smith's painting of Winnwood Beach. After a series of mishaps, the park closed in the 1930s.
