AbstractAshley Curl and Ashley Sprouse both loved horses and competed at the American Royal. They were killed in a car accident on August 26, 2001. A bronze sculpture depicting the girls riding together and titled "Friendship" is now on permanent display at the American Royal. NotesThe front page of the newspaper for this day carried a photograph which shows the sculpture and it has been included with this article.
