AbstractArticle discusses the advantages TIF has brought to Independence with the planned Bass Pro Shops that will build a hotel, a 14-acre lake and 60-foot waterfall alongside their building and the negotiations with HCA Midwest for a new hospital proposed to be built at East 39th St. and Selsa.
NotesThe Bass Pro Shops opened in Independence on February 20, 2008. It is a 180,000-square-foot store located at the intersection of Interstate 70 and Interstate 470/Missouri 291. The opening started with a special event called "Evening of Conservation."
