Not available online
TitleSinging the Praises of the Organ
AbstractArticle features organs as instruments in this area, where almost all the important organs and organists are associated with a worship location. According to research done by James Tharp, a local librarian, the first pipe organs began appearing here in the 1870s and by 1895 there were at least 24 in the area. None of these earliest organs have survived. Includes a list of the significant pipe organs in the Kansas City area.
