TitleA First-Rate Model Guides a Second-Chance School
AbstractArticle tells the story of Pamela Pearson, principal of Genesis School. Genesis, at 44th and Cleveland, "started as an alternative school in 1975." It became a charter school for middle school students in 1999. Most students are from families at or below the poverty line and many have unstable home lives and learning problems.
