AbstractTobler's Flowers celebrates 107 years in business this year. "It is one of the oldest, and one of the largest, florists in the Kansas City area." Its headquarters and central design center is located at 2010 E. 19th Street in Kansas City. Valentine's Day is 15% of the yearly sales and Tobler's has around 40,000 roses on hand. "Tobler's long history in Kansas City began in 1900 when Jacob and Etta Tobler established Bunker Hill Greenhouses. The Toblers handled all the activities, including delivering flowers from a horse-drawn cart." Article traces the history of the business in this area.
