| Title | Spreading Love Around the World |
| Abstract | Article explains the "I Am Loved" button that the Helzberg Diamond stores have used in advertising since November 1967. The piece was first sketched by Barnett Helzberg after his future wife Shirley accepted his engagement offer. Claude Burk designed the graphic and there has been fifty million buttons produced in 11 different languages. "Helzberg sold the company in 1995 to multibillionaire Warren Buffett, but the I Am Loved campaign lived on. The 268-store chain gives out a million buttons annually." Shirley Helzberg has an "I Am Loved" button encrusted with diamonds and rubies. |
