| Title | Friends Fixing Pharis Farm For the Future |
| Abstract | The Pharis Farm, located in Clay County, 5 miles northeast of Liberty, 20611 Route EE, was established in 1858. It was willed by owner Donald Pharis to the county. In 2002, a decade after his death, Clay County assumed possession of the property. Pharis left a $228,000 trust to be used for restoration/preservation/use and the county is now using a large part of that fund to restore the house and property. |
| Notes | A "newly formed Friends of the Pharis Farm are just as vigilant about preserving the farm's heritage now as Pharis was about conserving the land and educating students then." |
