| Abstract | In the "Postcards of Historic Northeast" column the featured postcard is of Whizzo the Clown and titled "Whizzo on TV 9". According to information supplied with this card, Frank Oliver Wiziarde was a Westmoreland, Kansas native born on July 25, 1916 to a circus family who traveled with their Wiziarde Novelty Circus. Whizzo first went on the air in this area in 1954 and was popular with the children during the 1950s, 60s, 70s and up until his death in September 1987. |
