| Abstract | The Arena League has given Kansas City an expansion franchise with the 2006 season. Some New Orleans contract players will be coming. The K.C. Arena Sports and Entertainment owns the franchise and plans to play at Kemper Arena. The Arena League has 18 teams, was founded in 1987 and averaged 12,872 people per game last season. Arena football is played with eight men to a side on artificial-turf surfaces on a hockey rink. |
