AbstractArticle reports the death of Tony Aguirre, the "father figure" of Kansas City's West Side. Aguirre coached several generations of boys and girls in numerous sports, and was known for instilling into them his motto: "Friendship, Intelligence, Sportsmanship, Honor."
NotesTony Aguirre died at age 77 on March 19, 2006. He was born February 8, 1929 in Kansas City, Missouri.
