TitleHistory Reverberates For Ethnic Community
AbstractIn 1947 when St. Casimir's Catholic Church in Kansas City, Kansas closed, they shipped their bell to Christ the King Catholic Church. The bell was donated to St. Casimir's by Lithuanian parishioners. The bell is now on display at the Wyandotte County Museum in Bonner Springs. "The Kansas City Lithuanian Community, which includes several former St. Casimir's parishioners, pitched in more than $10,000 to pay for the removal and restoration."
