Dale Castle in his column "Castle's View" discusses popcorn and gives the history of Velvet Creme Popcorn. The explanation of the company's name is given, founder Dona White "named the company because the popcorn looked like velvet to her and tasted creamy". The company was started in 1937 by Dona and Howard (Pop) White. Family members still run the business. Includes exterior and interior views of the company.
