TitleA Promising Legacy
AbstractArticle describes the vision for coverting the historic Paseo YMCA building into the John "Buck" O'Neil Education and Research Center, in honor of the Negro Leagues legend who passed away October 6, 2006.
NotesThe author writes that after a new YMCA building opened on Linwood Boulevard, the Paseo YMCA building became a boxing center; he reports that at the time of his writing, an office door on the abandoned building's second floor still bears the name of legendary Kansas City boxing coach Arrington "Bubble" Klice.
