AbstractInformation on Ernest Howard, a civil engineer born in Toronto, Canada, and joining the firm of Waddell & Hedrick, consulting engineers, in 1901, and becoming "resident engineer on the Intercity Viaduct in Kansas City" in 1905-1906, co-organizing the firm of Ash-Howard-Needles in 1928, working mainly on bridges, and co-organizing the engineering and architectural firm of Howard Needles Tammen & Bergendoff in Kansas City and New York City in 1940.
