| Abstract | The first Designers' Showhouse was 5208 Belleview Avenue, residence of Harry Seavey. Designed by architect John Van Brunt, it was built in 1912 and overlooked Brush Creek Valley. Seavey was born in Chicago in 1860 and came to Kansas City in 1884 as co-founder of the Seavey & Flarsheim Brokerage Company. The booklet has illustrations and a history of the residence. |
| Notes | Designers' Showhouse is a fund-raiser for the Kansas City Symphony generally held in Spring and organized by the Junior Women's Symphony Alliance. |
