AbstractInformation about the Farmers Hotel, also known as the Southern Hotel, Planters Hotel, McGee's Hotel, and the Wayside Inn, built by E. Milton McGee at 16th and Grand Avenue in 1856 as part of his McGee's Addition. Hotel used as a Southern headquarters before the Civil War and by Kersey Coates as a hospital during the war.
