AbstractPhotos and information on David Milton Proctor, or David Proctor, a Missouri state senator and author of books (1936's "Pay Day," 1937's "False Faces on Quality Street," and 1939's "Riding High!", etc.) in the 1930s satirizing and seeking to expose the Pendergast machine. Born in Monroe County, Missouri, in 1881 and coming to Kansas City in 1905 as a lawyer before becoming an "author and sponsor of a series of bills known as honest election laws applying to St. Louis and Kansas City," with residence at 7404 Mercier Street.
