AbstractPhoto and information on Belle Starr (ca. 1848-1889), a notorious lady outlaw and sharpshooter. Born in Carthage, Missouri as Belle Myra Shirley and moving to Dallas, Texas as a sharpshooting entertainer before marrying Sam Starr following her husband Jim Reed's death and moving to Oklahoma Territory (called "the first white woman in Oklahoma") as a colleague of the Younger and James gangs.
