AbstractBiographical sketch of Daniel Bontecou, "consulting engineer of Kansas City" born in Massachusetts, arriving in Kansas City in 1881 as private engineer, becoming chief engineer for the Kansas City Belt Railway Company from 1882 until 1886, the same position for the Grand Avenue Railway Company (street railway) from 1886 until 1888, and from 1889 until 1893 engaged on the construction of the Cable Railway System for the Capital Traction Company of Washington, D. C., and other later railroads.
