AbstractUnder Notes and Clippings: "Col. Thomas H. Swope, who a few years ago gave to Kansas City 1,300 acres of land, now known as Swope Park, will early in the year give to the city a magnificent gallery of art which will cost $450,000. He will also give an annuity of $20,000 for the support of the gallery.--Exchange."
