AbstractNews article about the Newsome Realty company at 6217 Prospect Avenue and its place in the changing climate of the local real estate market in which small, black-owned companies were losing their dominance in local African American real estate. Newsome Realty in 1981 included many of the remaining black real estate brokers in the city. Other prominent African Americans involved in realty are quoted, such as Fred Curls and Donald Sewing.
