AbstractThis thesis covers the life of local actor Arthur Ellison during his life in Kansas City from 1914-1994. Ellison was an actor, director, and make-up artist who was born in Pottsdam, New York, and died February 11, 1994, in Kansas City, Missouri. For many years he worked with Patricia McIlrath and the Missouri Repertory Theatre. Includes a chapter on the Resident Theatre and illustrations from the Arthur Wayland Ellison Scrapbooks located at the Western Historical Manuscript Collection.
NotesThis thesis in theatre was presented to the Faculty of the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
