| Title | An Old Way of Moving is Timely Once More |
| Abstract | June 23, 1957, marks the 50th anniversary of the last streetcar ride in Kansas City. Streetcars were introduced in Kansas City in the 1870s but were fazed out in the 1950s in favor of a more modern bus system. This article discusses the demise of Kansas City's streetcar system--and the possibility of incorporating parts of the old railway infrastructure into a modern light-rail system. |
