AbstractThe Theater League, directed by founder and president Mark Edelman, brought musicals and plays to Kansas City from 1977 until 2007. From 1977 to 198,1 performances took place at the Lyric Theater, then the Midland Theater, and finally the Music Hall. In 2007 the City Council chose Live Nation over the League as exclusive presenter at the Hall. Article also contains biographical information about Edelman.
