AbstractThe Connett family is noted in the history of the St. Joseph and Sparta, Missouri, area. They had connections at one time with the meat-packing industry in St. Joseph, Missouri. Leonard L. Solomon was a circuit court judge. This small collection is of primarily letters relating to William C. Connett, Jr., and his father-in-law Solomon L. Leonard. They pertain to the northwest area of Missouri and include geographic names as Sparta, Hempland, Platte City, and St. Joseph.
